What Is Occupational Therapy (OT) & Why Is It Helpful?

Occupational Therapy, commonly abbreviated as OT, is a holistic healthcare profession dedicated to improving people's lives by helping them perform daily activities with ease and self-assurance. By focusing on the art of "occupations" - those essential, everyday tasks that we often take for granted - OT practitioners bolster individuals' well-being, autonomy, and overall life satisfaction. The essence of Occupational Therapy lies in its adaptability. This versatile approach caters to people of all ages and walks of life, from children facing developmental challenges to older adults combating age-related concerns. The OT process commences with a comprehensive evaluation to discern the client's unique needs and goals, followed by customized interventions and consistent progress monitoring.
